Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating and analyzing pricing, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to ensure smooth and cost-effective production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with company standards.
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Price Negotiation & Cost Analysis:
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining product quality.
  • Analyze market trends, raw material costs, and other factors to support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost reductions.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production without overstocking.
  • Collaborate with production planners to forecast demand and align procurement activities accordingly.
  • Optimize stock levels through efficient procurement practices and Just-In-Time (JIT) principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement-to-production workflow.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring timely sourcing of components and materials.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
