Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tax Senior Manager or Director to lead our tax compliance and planning activities in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing tax strategies for large or complex organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Oversee compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal processes to support tax compliance activities.

Tax Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Advise leadership on the tax implications of business strategies, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate their implications to senior management.

Audit Management:

  • Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Resolve any tax-related disputes or issues efficiently and effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and auditors to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 740 and other relevant reporting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Legal, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and tax accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP System
  • Bilingual (Chinese and English) Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in inbound tax planning for large-scale foreign-invested companies in the US.
  • Familiarity with international tax regulations and transfer pricing.
  • Experience with tax technology tools and software.
