I. Job Summary
Under minimal supervision of the Vice President, the Global Program Manager (GPM) is responsible for leading the development, implementation and execution of high-quality, globally coordinated, cross-functional project plans in alignment with program strategy. The GPM will manage both internal teams and client-side stakeholders to define and achieve program goals.
The GPM oversees ongoing program operations, including identifying and managing changes, tracking key internal and external KPIs, driving operational excellence, identifying risks and improvement opportunities and ensuring continuous program growth and success.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision of the Vice President, the Global Program Manager (GPM) is responsible for leading the development, implementation and execution of high-quality, globally coordinated, cross-functional project plans in alignment with program strategy. The GPM will manage both internal teams and client-side stakeholders to define and achieve program goals.
The GPM oversees ongoing program operations, including identifying and managing changes, tracking key internal and external KPIs, driving operational excellence, identifying risks and improvement opportunities and ensuring continuous program growth and success.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with functional leads to develop integrated, cross-functional project plans aligned with the overall program strategy.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment, accountability and program execution excellence.
- Manage day-to-day operations across departments to meet program objectives within budget and timelines.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Taiwan headquarters and external clients; schedule meetings and proactively address program issues.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks and opportunities.
- Forecast potential delays and develop mitigation or contingency strategies.
- Drive the development and on-time completion of annual WPT goals and provide input into the Global Product Strategy.
- Documents decisions, action items and key outcomes from project and ad hoc meetings.
- Lead risk management and scenario planning efforts; create contingency plans where needed.
- Coordinate with external business partners and alliances to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Frequent travel to our Guadalajara location.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related filed is required.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- 7 – 10 years of professional experience in program/project management, preferably in a global or cross-functional setting.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to client interaction; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience in high-tech contract manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Management consulting background is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience working in or with corporate procurement functions.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with the ability to develop compelling presentations and build a clear narrative/story for executive audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels, including executives and external partners.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Flexibility to work across time zones and locations.
- Willingness to travel up to 20-25%, including regular visits to the Guadalajara site and other international locations as needed.
