RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in designing and updating plant and workstation layouts using AutoCAD and Lean methodologies.
- Conduct time studies, labor analysis, and line balancing to identify areas for improvement in ergonomics and efficiency.
- Support Design Engineering and Assembly teams with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and implementation of process improvements.
- Participate in capacity planning and layout setup for new or expanding production lines.
- Help implement and support shop-floor control systems for real-time production tracking.
- Develop and maintain cost and capacity models to aid decision-making across production and planning.
- Contribute to quotation activities (TIQ) by analyzing labor, process times, and cost impacts.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Associate's degree in a relevant technical discipline with equivalent hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
- 0 - 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial engineering setting.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and layout planning tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Time Study methods.
- Familiar with MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and PLM platforms (e.g., Agile) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Agile).
- Basic understanding of shop floor control systems and real-time production tracking.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Office-based role, fast-paced work environment
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
Travel Requirement:
- Position may require up to 20 - 30% travel to other manufacturing sites.
