JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team. This role will focus on optimizing production processes, improving factory layouts, and supporting efficiency initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product manufacturability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in designing and updating plant and workstation layouts using AutoCAD and Lean methodologies.
  • Conduct time studies, labor analysis, and line balancing to identify areas for improvement in ergonomics and efficiency.
  • Support Design Engineering and Assembly teams with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and implementation of process improvements.
  • Participate in capacity planning and layout setup for new or expanding production lines.
  • Help implement and support shop-floor control systems for real-time production tracking.
  • Develop and maintain cost and capacity models to aid decision-making across production and planning.
  • Contribute to quotation activities (TIQ) by analyzing labor, process times, and cost impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant technical discipline with equivalent hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering. 
Experience:
  • 0 - 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial engineering setting.
Skills:
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and layout planning tools.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Time Study methods.
  • Familiar with MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and PLM platforms (e.g., Agile) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Agile).
  • Basic understanding of shop floor control systems and real-time production tracking.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Office-based role, fast-paced work environment
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Travel Requirement:
  • Position may require up to 20 - 30% travel to other manufacturing sites.
