- Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Thermal Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in facility engineering preferred
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong understanding of facility design and construction
- Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all installations (e.g., telecommunications, heat, electricity) and refurbishments
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs
- Monitor utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
- Assist in budget preparation and manage expenses to ensure cost-effective operations
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Keep financial and non-financial records
- Coordinate with other departments to align objectives and improve overall facility performance
- Communication with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders regarding facility equipment operations and performance
