Role Overview
Lead cross-functional teams through factory build, site readiness, and operational launch, then transition into long-term program management ownership across the product lifecycle. This role emphasizes people leadership, cross-functional alignment, and operational execution in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Main Responsibilities
Factory Build & Operational Launch
- Lead, motivate, and align cross-functional teams during factory build and launch phases, with accountability for team performance and delivery
- Provide day-to-day people leadership, including task prioritization, coaching, and workload balancing
- Manage project execution for site readiness, infrastructure setup, equipment installation, and production ramp-up
- Drive readiness milestones by aligning people, processes, and timelines, including staffing readiness and go-live approvals
- Establish governance structures, meeting cadence, and escalation paths to ensure accountability and execution
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, IT, facilities, and external partners
- Act as the primary communication lead between team members, functional leaders, executives, customers, and external stakeholders
- Ensure clarity of expectations, risks, and decisions across all levels of the organization
Transition to Program Management
- Transition from hands-on project execution to people-focused program management following factory launch
- Lead and develop cross-functional program teams across the full product lifecycle, including:
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Sustaining operations
- Volume ramp
- End-of-Life (EOL)
- Set expectations, monitor performance, and support team development to ensure consistent program delivery
- Manage customer-facing communication while advocating for and supporting internal teams
- Drive continuous improvement through coaching, feedback, and alignment across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain organizations
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project or program management roles
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Experience supporting complex operational, manufacturing, or transformation projects
- People management, coaching, and team development
- Cross-functional leadership and influence
- Conflict resolution and stakeholder alignment
- Clear communication and expectation setting
- Decision-making and prioritization in dynamic environments
- Transition leadership from project execution to long-term program ownership
- Continuous improvement driven by team performance
- Strong interpersonal intelligence and emotional awareness
