Overview:
Under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Manager this position supports the Manager in all matters related to facility project planning. Duties also focus on facilitating and coordinating the various activities related to the planning, pre-design, design and pre-construction activities and providing assistance, guidance and support.

Overview:
Under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Manager this position supports the Manager in all matters related to facility project planning. Duties also focus on facilitating and coordinating the various activities related to the planning, pre-design, design and pre-construction activities and providing assistance, guidance and support.
- Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
- Responsible to work with Industrial Engineers on production equipment layouts for economy of operation and maximum utilization of facilities and equipment.
- Manages the project schedule and contributing components including developing schematic space plans, furniture specifications, installation plans and conducting post move follow-up/evaluation.
- Assists with pre-programming documents and information for decision-making suggestions and alternatives including space inventory and space auditing.
- Participates in on-going construction related updates and status meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience with dealing with facility vendors.
- Schedule, manage and maintain various project submission requirements, records and files in various phases, stages and formats.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and documents.
- Manage multiple projects/assignment to meet tight deadlines and track progress.
- Experience in using project management software (e.g., MS Project or Excel).
- Basic CAD knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and data drawings.
- Demonstrate flexibility and is able to adjust priorities as needed regarding potential competing project needs and associated impact on work schedule.
- Follows required Fii and OSHA applicable safety procedures to ensure personal, public and co-worker safety when completing tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation, daily work sheets for record keeping.
- Ensures equipment, workspaces and tools supplied by FII are used for intended purposes and are maintained in safe working order.
- Ability to manipulate floorplans digitally preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
A combination of experience, education and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities. Working knowledge of:
- Principles of structural, mechanical, HVAC and electrical system design.
- Understanding of building systems, construction delivery methods and standard industry terminology.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience as facility engineer.
