Purpose of the Position:
  • To design, implement, secure, maintain, and optimize the company's large-scale network and IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • To lead the IT operations team, manage security and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally to align IT systems with business goals.
  • To provide expert-level support, incident response, and continuous improvement of the network environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. IT Team Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead and mentor the IT operations team, enhancing technical skills and incident response.
  • Collaborate closely with production, management, and cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems meet business and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate IT priorities with departmental leaders to support company goals.
2. Network Design, Implementation & Maintenance:
  • Design, set up, configure, and maintain secure, scalable, and redundant network infrastructures (WAN, LAN, VLAN, VPN) for large enterprises.
  • Perform regular maintenance on servers (physical/virtual, Windows/Linux) and network equipment (upgrades, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting).
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and security devices (IPS/IDS, VPN).
  • Set up, manage, and optimize wireless networks and access points (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba).
3. Data Center & IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee daily data center operations (hardware, networking, storage) and overall IT infrastructure (network, servers, storage).
  • Ensure maximum uptime, scalability, and security of infrastructure components.
  • Manage enterprise databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) for performance and optimization.
4. Information Security & Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and best practices.
  • Manage data protection, access control, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Conduct security audits and compliance assessments.
5. Network Monitoring, Optimization & Documentation:
  • Continuously monitor network, server, and access point performance.
  • Proactively optimize network speed, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation (configurations, diagrams, inventory).
6. Incident Response & Recovery:
  • Lead response to network incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
  • Provide on-call support as needed for critical issues.
  • Ensure efficient system recovery and business continuity.
7. Continuous Improvement & Support:
  • Stay current with emerging network technologies, security trends, and best practices.
  • Propose and implement infrastructure improvements for enhanced security and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to teams and junior staff.

Education and Work Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering and Security, or a related field (Preferred).
Experience: 5-10 years of extensive experience in:
  • Designing, setting up, and maintaining complex network infrastructures in large-scale environments.
  • Server setup, configuration, and maintenance (physical/virtual, Windows/Linux).
  • Firewall management and network security implementation.
  • IT infrastructure and data center operations management.
  • Manufacturing/Factory IT environment experience (Preferred).
Supervision:
Reporting to IT operation manager
 
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available for on-call support to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Availability to work non-core hours or overtime to complete projects or resolve critical issues without operational disruption.

  • Core Technical Expertise: Advanced Networking (Design, WAN/LAN/VLAN/VPN), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), Server Management (Windows/Linux), Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Access Points (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba), Database Management (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), High Availability/Uptime strategies.
  • Security & Compliance: In-depth network security principles, intrusion detection/prevention, vulnerability management, monitoring tools, compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Management & Soft Skills: IT Team Leadership, Cross-functional Collaboration, Excellent Communication (English essential, Chinese Mandarin a plus), Organizational & Time Management, Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting, Incident Management, Project Management, Documentation.
  • Preferred: Manufacturing IT experience, Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin).
  • Certifications (Preferred): Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, CEH.
