Job Summary The Electrical Product Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, validation, industrialization, and lifecycle management of high-technology electronic products. This role serves as a key technical interface between design engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and test teams to ensure robust, cost-effective, and manufacturable electronic products that meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Product Development & Industrialization
Support electrical design transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring design intent, documentation completeness, and manufacturability.
Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and electrical specifications to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Lead or support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including prototype builds, pilot runs, and ramp to volume production.
Collaborate with design teams to implement DFM, DFA, DFT, and cost-reduction improvements.
Manufacturing & Test Support
Develop, review, and maintain electrical test strategies, including ICT, functional test, boundary scan, and system-level testing.
Troubleshoot electrical issues during manufacturing, test, and field returns using structured root-cause analysis.
Support yield improvement initiatives and corrective actions for electrical failures.
Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Quality & Reliability
Participate in design reviews, FMEA, reliability testing, and qualification activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (UL, CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
Support failure analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement efforts.
Documentation & Lifecycle Management
Create and maintain electrical documentation including schematics, test specifications, ECOs, and manufacturing work instructions.
Manage product changes throughout the product lifecycle, from NPI through sustaining engineering.
Support product cost, performance, and reliability optimization over time.
