Purpose of the position
The purpose of this position is to ensure a safe and compliant industrial environment by preventing accidents, protecting employees and assets, and maintaining adherence to safety regulations. This role involves managing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Equipment/Electrical Safety Management: Ensure the safety management of equipment and electrical systems, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
  • Process Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate fire and explosion risks in production processes.
  • Construction Safety Control: Manage safety during construction projects to ensure compliance with safety norms.
  • Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Drills: Plan and coordinate emergency preparedness measures, responses, and drills.
  • Process Safety Evaluation: Evaluate safety measures in production processes to ensure they meet safety requirements.
  • Fire Safety Management: Oversee fire safety measures to ensure facilities and procedures comply with fire safety standards.
  • HSE System Promotion: Drive the implementation and improvement of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system.
  • Safety Inspection Planning: Plan and organize safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Safety Training Activity Planning: Develop and execute plans for safety training programs to enhance employee safety awareness and skills.
Education and work experience
  • A bachelor's degree in safety engineering, public safety, or occupational health and safety is typically required. A master's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in safety management across diverse industries or operational environments are beneficial. Experience in areas such as fire safety, construction safety, emergency preparedness, and process safety is advantageous.

Working conditions
  • Office-based role, fast-paced work environment
  • This position must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies and be available to work non-core hours or overtime to complete various projects without interruption to operations.

Skills: Expertise in identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
Ability to effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and risks to stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, while fostering collaboration across teams.
Strong ability to analyze safety-related issues, evaluate solutions, and make informed decisions to address challenges and improve safety practices
