Purpose of the Position
- Lead negotiation and bidding processes with strong analytical and pricing skills.
- Analyze and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Develop and maintain client/supplier relationships with a focus on sustainability and ethical practices.
- Problem-solving ownership for unexpected procurement challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Team & Project Leadership:
- Manage the UPD team and act as the primary interface for cross-functional coordination.
- Oversee project management (track PO/ETA status, procurement records, and timelines).
2. Sourcing & Supplier Management:
- Conduct local sourcing, vendor qualification, and on-site audits.
- Strengthen supplier relationships (performance, sustainability, and ethical compliance).
3. Negotiation & Cost Control:
- Lead terms & price negotiations, bidding processes, and contract management.
- Perform cost analysis and implement cost-saving strategies.
4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks in procurement activities.
5. Reporting & Collaboration:
- Generate data-driven reports (spend analysis, supplier performance).
- Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, legal, operations) to align procurement goals.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management & Procurement Management.
- Project management experience preferred
Supervision
Reports to UPD Manager.
Working Conditions
- Office-based role in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for after-hours emergencies and work overtime to meet critical deadlines.

- Communication: Fluent bilingual in English & Chinese (listening/speaking/reading/writing); cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
- Technical: Advanced Excel (data analysis, macros), PowerPoint, procurement software.
