Purpose of the Position

  • Lead negotiation and bidding processes with strong analytical and pricing skills.
  • Analyze and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Develop and maintain client/supplier relationships with a focus on sustainability and ethical practices.
  • Problem-solving ownership for unexpected procurement challenges.


Duties and Responsibilities
1. Team & Project Leadership:

  • Manage the UPD team and act as the primary interface for cross-functional coordination.
  • Oversee project management (track PO/ETA status, procurement records, and timelines).

2. Sourcing & Supplier Management:

  • Conduct local sourcing, vendor qualification, and on-site audits.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships (performance, sustainability, and ethical compliance).

3. Negotiation & Cost Control:

  • Lead terms & price negotiations, bidding processes, and contract management.
  • Perform cost analysis and implement cost-saving strategies.

4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks in procurement activities.

5. Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Generate data-driven reports (spend analysis, supplier performance).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, legal, operations) to align procurement goals.


Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management & Procurement Management.
  • Project management experience preferred


Supervision
Reports to UPD Manager.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available for after-hours emergencies and work overtime to meet critical deadlines.

  • Communication: Fluent bilingual in English & Chinese (listening/speaking/reading/writing); cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
  • Technical: Advanced Excel (data analysis, macros), PowerPoint, procurement software.
  • Core Competencies: Strategic negotiation, cost analysis, risk management, problem-solving, ethical sourcing.
