Main Functions:
The MRO Buyer is responsible for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) sourcing, including consumables, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and spare parts to support reliable operations. This role drives supplier rationalization and material standardization, execute framework agreements and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) solutions, and optimizes supplier base in support of Material managers inventory levels to improve availability while reducing obsolescence and total cost of ownership.
The MRO buyer partners closely with project management, engineering, and operational teams to qualify suppliers, manage long-lead and complex equipment, and negotiate commercial terms that support capital and energy initiatives. Reporting to Materials management, the role drives sourcing excellence, strengthens supplier relationships, mitigates supply and operational risk, and influences sourcing outcomes while supporting sustainability and long-term business growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
MRO Sourcing and Order Management: manage, and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for indirect MRO supplies and equipment purchases.  Ensure alignment with Foxconn project, operational and cost management objectives
Supplier Development & Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships to enhance performance, MRO material availability, operational procedure compliance, and cost management targets. Foster collaborative partnerships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with business needs.
MRO Equipment Quote Management and Vendor Negotiations: Responsible for MRO equipment contracts negotiations with MRO suppliers, ensuring that results meet Foxconn technical and performance specifications and operational requirements. Drive favorable terms and conditions that support the company's strategic objectives.
• Vendor Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against established KPIs specific to MRO procurement. Implement performance improvement plans as necessary to ensure suppliers meet or exceed expectations.
Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and engineering, to support internal purchasing and operational needs. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on sourcing execution to meet project and operational requirements.
Risk Management: Assist in the development and implementation of robust vendor risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize potential risks associated with MRO supplier relationships.
KPI Tracking & Reporting: Participate in the tracking of global KPIs related to MRO sourcing effectiveness, supplier performance, and cost/value delivery. Review and implement additional KPIs as needed to enhance sourcing strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate, college or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in MRO sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, particularly in the MRO category.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc. ).
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record in contract negotiations specific to MRO supplies, equipment and services.
• Experiences of utilizing online MRO Sourcing tools, e.g. Uline, McMaster-Carr, Grainger, Amazon in sourcing MRO products, and hands on experience and proficiency in using online sourcing tool.

• Experiences of using P-card in sourcing MRO products.
• Diversified sourcing experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) sourcing, including consumables, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), spare parts, packaging accessories, e.g. corrugated boxes, wooden pallet, crates, etc.  to support reliable operations.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical acumen, experience in RFQ cost analysis and result summary related to MRO procurement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Experiences in tracking material shipment status and ensure the shipment receiving and hand off to the operations/facilities team.  Lead resolution of delivery, quality and delivery quality and quantity discrepancies.
• Experience in developing and execute KPIs related to MRO sourcing and supplier performance.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and vendor risk assessment strategies.
