The IT Manager is responsible for leading the IT department and supporting internal operations. This includes:
- Collaborating with department heads to assess technology needs.
- Coordinating the installation of hardware and software systems.
- Managing vendor relationships for the procurement of IT equipment such as routers, circuit boards, and computer systems.
- Ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure across the organization.
- Develop and implement troubleshooting strategies to minimize system downtime and maintenance costs.
- Design and execute software upgrade plans aligned with company requirements.
- Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Monitor emerging IT infrastructure technologies and report relevant updates to the executive team.
- Collaborate with other department managers to support company growth through IT planning.
- Conduct regular meetings with supervisors and staff to evaluate system needs and improvements.
- Create, maintain, and update IT documentation, including policies, procedures, and forms.
- Maintain accurate and current cybersecurity policies; revise and update as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ experience
- Proficient in data backup and recovery strategies.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory structures and administration.
- Experience with ITSM (IT Service Management) and ITMS (IT Management Systems).
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9000, 14000, 27000).
- In-depth knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and compliance regulations.
- Solid understanding of programming concepts, digital security, and computer science fundamentals.
- Expertise in client/server technologies and network architecture.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, time management, and prioritization.
- High sense of urgency and ownership.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and active listening.
- Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
