Shipping Planner - Second Shift (G-Project)
The Shipping Planner is responsible for coordinating all export shipments, truck loading activities, Post Goods Issue (PGI) processing, and outbound warehouse operations. The primary objective of this role is to ensure an efficient, accurate, and timely outbound shipping process while meeting customer requirements and company performance goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Outbound Process Management
Coordinate and oversee all outbound shipping activities.
Ensure shipping capacity is optimized based on customer requirements, forwarder instructions, order priorities, and production schedules.
Support the outbound team by providing timely shipping information, system guidance, and training as needed.
Shipment Consolidation and Trailer Scheduling
Coordinate shipment consolidation and arrange trailer bookings with freight forwarders.
Communicate transportation instructions for direct shipments to the Sales & Distribution (S&D) department based on customer and forwarder requirements.
Organize trailer scheduling and loading plans to meet shipping demands.
Documentation and System Tracking
Monitor and track shipment information through SAP, SFC, and other reporting systems.
Ensure all required shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and received on time, including:
Signed Transfer Orders (TO)
CMR documents
Certificates of Completion
Loading records
Other required shipping documentation
Post Goods Issue (PGI)
Verify all shipment documentation and loading information after truck loading is complete.
Process accurate and timely PGI transactions in SAP.
Shipping Plans and Reporting
Prepare and distribute daily shipping plans and shipped reports.
Maintain daily communication with freight forwarders and customers' logistics teams regarding:
Shipping schedules
Loading details
Shipment status
Rescheduling requests
Pre-alerts and shipment notifications
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse, and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
Analyze shipping issues, resolve operational challenges, and coordinate with relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance outbound operations and customer service.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
Experience with export shipping operations is preferred.
