Main functions:

• You will control and ensure the cost-effectively organized machine, equipment, raw material, semi-finished good and finish good transportations by the logistics department.
• You will review and ensure that the incoming freight invoices are correct and paid in time or make a complaint with the vendor in case of improper invoices.
• You will be responsible for the selection of the appropriate freight forwarders and be the lead contact to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• You will coordinate and control the logistics processes in accordance with the company's regulations, objectives and relevant legislation, and take corrective actions if necessary.
• You will be responsible for the performance, development and competency of the logistics department staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining discipline and ensuring that the staff adheres to the appropriate company policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

• You will regularly inform your superior about the work of the logistics department and the circumstances affecting it and prepare statements and reports if necessary.
• You will be the deputy of the Senior Logistics Manager in specific cases or during his/her absence.
• You will ensure the availability of the material and personal conditions necessary for the functionality of the logistics department and is responsible for creating an appropriate workplace atmosphere.
• You will be responsible for the communication of the logistics department with its fellow departments, participates in jointly organized projects, and ensure the transmission of company information to employees.
• You need to ensure that the activities carried out by the logistics department comply with company and regulatory regulations.
• Work, Fire and Environmental Protection: You must ensure that work, fire, accident and environmental protection rules are fully complied with by all employees under your management in accordance with the Work, Fire and Environmental Protection Regulations, and you must cooperate with the company's specialists responsible for the areas during these tasks.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree in field of logistics or supply chain management (BSC or MSC).
• At least 3 years of professional experience in logistics.
• Excellent organizational and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• High level of knowledge in MS Excel, World, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Lives in Houston or the surrounding area.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
