Production Planner (G-Project)
Position Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating customer communication, production scheduling, and shipment planning to ensure on-time delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role ensures optimal production capacity utilization while balancing customer priorities, material availability, and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer communication.
Provide timely updates on order status, shipment notifications, rescheduling, and reporting.
Maintain proactive communication to ensure customer expectations are met.
Production & Shipping Schedule
Develop and manage production schedules based on delivery requirements, order priorities, material availability, and workforce capabilities.
Ensure efficient utilization of production capacity.
Create and oversee daily shipping plans and ensure proper execution.
Customer Performance Management
Monitor and measure customer-related performance metrics, including delivery performance, cancellations, invoicing accuracy, and overall account alignment with quotation terms.
Identify improvement opportunities and ensure corrective actions when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Order Administration
Manage the full order lifecycle from receipt through production, shipment, and invoicing.
Coordinate closely with customers to ensure smooth processing and execution.
Customer Satisfaction
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
Deliver accurate and timely management reports in agreed formats and frequencies.
Documentation Management
Oversee and maintain all required customer documentation in compliance with company procedures.
Order Book Management
Administer backlog, order changes, cancellations, and reschedules.
Assess and communicate the impact of requested changes promptly.
Shipping Coordination
Prepare daily shipping forecasts aligned with customer delivery deadlines.
Support the shipping team with timely information, system improvements, and training as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments to meet operational goals.
Analyze issues, evaluate data, and make informed decisions to support business objectives.
Coordinate with other Production Planners to resolve scheduling or customer account conflicts.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
Minimum two years’ experience in a commercial role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally as required.
Flexibility with working hours, including overtime when necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma required.
