The Kitting Manager is responsible for leading the kitting operation within the warehouse and production environment, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing schedules. This role oversees inventory accuracy, kit preparation, material flow, and team performance to prevent production disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.

- Manage daily kitting operations, material staging, and kit delivery to production.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and prevent part shortages, incorrect components, and material discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Quality teams to support manufacturing requirements.
- Monitor shortages, resolve material issues quickly, and maintain uninterrupted production flow.
- Lead, train, develop, and hold the kitting team accountable for performance and quality standards.
- Utilize SAP to track inventory, kit status, shortages, and operational KPIs.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FIFO, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attention to Detail – Prevents part shortages, wrong components, and inventory errors.
- Organization Skills – Manages multiple kits and production priorities efficiently.
- Problem Solver – Quickly resolves shortages and keeps production running.
- Leadership – Trains, motivates, and holds the kitting team accountable.
- Communication – Works effectively with production, warehouse, planning, purchasing, and quality.
- Lean/5S Knowledge – Understands FIFO, inventory control, and continuous improvement.
- Data Driven – Tracks inventory accuracy, shortages, performance metrics, and is experienced using SAP.
Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years of experience in kitting, materials management, warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment; electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
- 2–3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with SAP and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FIFO, and continuous improvement methodologies.
