The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions across an organization, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and policy interpretation, providing expert advice and support to both employees and managers while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws; they often act as a strategic partner to line managers, advising on workforce planning and talent development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions across an organization, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and policy interpretation, providing expert advice and support to both employees and managers while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws; they often act as a strategic partner to line managers, advising on workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading the full recruitment cycle, including job posting development, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.
- Overseeing the new hire onboarding process, identifying training needs, and coordinating training programs for employees at all levels.
- Investigating employee concerns, addressing workplace issues, providing conflict resolution support, and managing disciplinary actions.
- Supporting managers in performance appraisal processes, coaching employees on performance improvement plans, and identifying high-potential talent.
- Staying updated on employment laws, interpreting HR policies, and ensuring company compliance with regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of HR reports and metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, training compliance).
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
- Knowledge of CA labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and practices (e.g., recruitment, performance management, employee relations).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software
- Bilingual (Chinese and English) Preferred
