JOB FUNCTION    
The primary function of this role is to develop, implement, and maintain Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) that ensure products are manufacturable in alignment with customer requirements for quality, cost, and efficiency.  The position focuses on optimizing production processes, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and supporting design for manufacturability.  By closely collaborating with cross-functional teams, the role aims to drive continuous improvement in process quality, reduce production costs, and ensure consistent delivery performance. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to Engineering Manager.
  • In charge of process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements.
  • Define, Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
  • Develop and implement 5DX test strategies.
  • Maintain MPI to meet customer manufacturability, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Develop and update the manufacturing process procedures.
  • Review and support design change orders.
  • Perform DFM analysis.
  • Optimize process flow for maximum efficiency and develop product specific tooling.
  • Resolve production problems and determine appropriate actions for quality/process improvements.
  • Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
  • Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements
  • Perform failure analysis and develop solutions for failures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:         
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Industrial Engineering (IE) or equivalent work experience.
                               
EXPERIENCE:    
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA processes.
  • Experience in testing, debugging, and test equipment programming experience is a plus.
SKILLS:                   
  • Extensive experience on DFM/DFA for electronics manufacturing.
  • Well versed on processes and procedures for SMT/PCBAs for manufacturing qualification.
  • Capable to develop, implement and maintain PCBA processes.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Able to write engineering reports for internal and external customers
  • Stencil Design proficiency, including knowledge of:
  • Area/Aspect ratio calculations
  • Solder pastes type and mesh sizes
  • Electroformed (E-form) Stencils
  • Nickel stencils
  • Step stencils
