JOB FUNCTION: Financial Reporting / General Accounting
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. This role ensures compliance with accounting principles and company policies and supports month-end and year-end closing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments/collections.
  • Utilize financial software to manage financial data effectively.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial management initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide company strategy.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Perform financial review of sub-consultants and contractors for Clients.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform the audit.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

Experience:
  • 2 years+ Accounting experience required
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting
  • Proficiency in financial software applications
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese required.
