POSITION: Engineering Manager
CATEGORY: Exempt - Supervisory
JOB FUNCTION: Lead the planning, development, and management of all test software initiatives and resources across multiple engineering programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and integration of manufacturing test software.
  • Lead a team of test software engineers, providing technical direction and project oversight.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including software requirements, architecture designs, and testing protocols.
  • Coordinate with OEM test software teams and global manufacturing sites to ensure smooth software deployment and support.
  • Apply sound software engineering practices and problem-solving methodologies to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and manufacturing requirements across all product lines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSCS) required; Master’s degree (MSCS) preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing technical teams.
Technical Skills:
  • Proven experience designing and developing complete software architectures.
  • Strong programming proficiency in C++, Visual Basic, and Assembly.
  • Familiarity with multi-tiered systems, including operating environments such as Lynx OS and UNIX (Solaris).
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols such as Ethernet, SCSI, or Fibre Channel.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
