Duties and Responsibilities
- Equipment and fixture demand planning: Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to assess equipment/fixtures requirements and create purchase plans.
- Equipment and fixture procurement: Work with Equipment purchase department on the PR/PO writing, tracking the ETA with vendor.
- Prepare and submit accurate customs documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists) for imported equipment/jigs. Address customs audits, disputes, or duty refund claims proactively.
- Maintain a centralized asset register to record procurement costs, locations, maintenance schedules, and depreciation.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations for equipment/jigs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular physical audits, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports on asset utilization, costs, and lifecycle status.
- Manage end-of-life processes, including resale, recycling, or disposal of obsolete assets in compliance with environmental/safety standards.
- Management on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production efficiency, downtime, and project progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years in procurement(preferably for industrial equipment/fixtures) and customs clearance/import operations
- Hands-on experience with **asset management systems** (e.g., ERP, EAM) and inventory control.
Working conditions
- This role is primarily based in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility, requiring daily presence on the production floor to oversee processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operational efficiency.
- May require occasional weekend hours to support production deadlines, emergency repairs, or project implementations. .
- Proficiency in procurement tools and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with global suppliers and internal teams
