Summary
The Delivery/Material Control Specialist is responsible for managing material planning, procurement, inventory control, and delivery operations to ensure the timely and accurate flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. This role collaborates with internal departments, suppliers, warehouses, logistics providers, and customers to optimize inventory levels, coordinate deliveries, resolve operational issues, and improve overall supply chain performance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with strong communication skills and experience in logistics, inventory management, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect, organize, and analyze material requirements from internal departments to support operational needs.
• Manage inventory levels through regular stock analysis to optimize material availability and minimize excess inventory.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate material preparation and product availability for shipment.
• Oversee product lifecycle activities, including Last Time Buy (LTB), End of Production (EOP), and End of Life (EOL) planning.
• Support Return to Vendor (RTV) activities, including material tracking, credit processing, and documentation.
• Create and manage purchase orders for maintenance materials, packaging supplies, and other operational requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, settlements, invoicing, and issue resolution.
• Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure timely material availability and efficient procurement processes.
• Monitor and coordinate product deliveries from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
• Work closely with warehouse teams, transportation providers, and third-party logistics partners to support efficient delivery operations.
• Ensure all shipping and delivery documentation, including invoices and shipping records, is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, shipment status, delays, or exceptions while providing excellent customer service.
• Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, shipment delays, and other logistics-related issues by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate and analyze reports on inventory status, delivery performance, material availability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, procurement efficiency, and delivery performance.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline material control and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations governing procurement, inventory management, and delivery operations.
• Maintain accurate records and support internal audits related to material and delivery processes.
Basic Qualifications
• Two or more years of experience in material control, inventory management, procurement, logistics, delivery coordination, or supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and with external suppliers and customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP ERP systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Fluency in English; additional language skills such as Mandarin are a plus.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
