Supply Chain Manager (IB4)
A Supply Chain Manager oversees the entire flow of materials, processes, and logistics for electronic assembly, focusing on sourcing direct components (PCBs, chips), and indirect components (MRO), managing supplier quality, optimizing inventory, integrating engineering/production, and driving cost/efficiency for high-volume manufacturing, requiring deep technical understanding of SMT lines, IPC standards, and cross-functional collaboration. In addition, he/she requires to have strong knowledge of current Incoterm, import and export processes, logistics arrangement (courier, air, ocean, and inland), tariff regulations, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
· Material Management: Work closely with customer’s assigned vendor list (AVL) to move material into the factory.
· Local Sourcing: Work with customer to qualify local suppliers to support none AVL items.
· MRO Sourcing: Developing strategies for none BOM items and/or contract manufacturing with customer’s approval
· Process Optimization: Working with Engineering/Operations to integrate SMT line needs (yield, throughput, quality) with supply chain strategy, managing NPI (New Product Introduction).
· Inventory Management: Material planning, managing inventory levels, ensuring availability for production, manage and minimize Material Review Board (MRB) material/bonepile with quality and production leaders.
· Production Planning: Ensure material info-record is set up correctly in the ERP system to drive material according to the required lead time, MOQ, and pricing to meet production requirement. Work together with production to plan production according to the capacity planning. Consolidate information from material nad capacity planning before commit to customer demand requirement.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborating with Engineering, Finance, Quality, Testing, and Manufacturing teams.
· Supply Chain Leadership: Manage a team of Material Planning, Buyers, Production Planning, Order Fulfillment, and MRO procurement. Provide guidance
and leadership to the team member to drive efficiency. Sets goals and organize strategies to achieve these goals and objectives.
· Additional responsibilities will be added on or removed based on business and operational requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
· Education: Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Supply Chain/Business degree.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sourcing, procurement, operations in electronics/PCBA/consumer electronics.
· Technical Skills: PCBA manufacturing, semiconductor knowledge, ERP/MES systems, Six Sigma/Lean principles.
· Soft Skills: Negotiation, problem-solving, data analysis, stakeholder management, leadership.
· Others: English proficiency, On-site required, Chinese language preferred by not required, Lean Management Experience, CPIM Certification preferred.
