JOB FUNCTION
Automation Manager responsible for implementing automation solution to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in the production process. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of automation systems (robotic arms and SMT infrastructure), as well as managing factory automation support team and collaborating with cross-functional groups.  

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintaining and testing of automation equipment and software.
  • Manage/Lead & training the operation automation engineers or technicians.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Work with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze automation performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Ability to communicate with both internally customer and external customers
  • Provide regular and timely communication of program status and progress towards goals.
  • Manage action items - includes identifying, prioritizing, assigning, monitoring, and controlling action items
  • Occasional after business hour communications with teams from Asia office
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering (preferred), or related field or relevant business/technical experience
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, and other automation technologies is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time, and within budget.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams and communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Independent thinking with keen problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and multiple work plans.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual preferred (English and Mandarin).
